Thumbs down Easyjet Cancel/Consolidation of flights.

Just had an email from Easyjet informing me that they have cancelled flights from Newcastle to Palma on Tuesdays, Weds and Thursdays early in the year. They pick up again in April.

They have given me a choice of refund or free transfer to travel within 30 days of original dates.

I wonder if you get the credit card charge back??

Looks as though they are trying to fill up flights on Sat/Sun/Mon by cancelling the others.

Good job I havent organised Insurance/car/parking etc.

I'll keep you posted as to outcome.

Sorry to hear you are having flights cancelled GL. Looks like a lot of airlines are cutting winter schedules at the moment. I am sure there will be more to come, esp East Midlands. The free transfer option is worth considering as it is usually more expensive to travel at weekends, but then again depends if you booked on price or the days suited you best.

As you say, just as well you did not book extras yet or it could have worked out very expensive.

Not sure about the CC fee. I know you should get the taxes back but not sure about the fee. Don't think you should be out of pocket though.

Adios

Dave

Thanks Dave.

Abbi - It was early March 2010 out and back on a Wed.

From their flight finder, the cancellations are from the beginning of November
where some flights are cancelled, eventually leading to only Saturday flights!! so you should be OK in Oct

Enjoy your trip.

Not PP related but I had flights to Malaga this coming December cancelled due to them cutting their winter schedule.

The flight was sold out due to Rangers playing in Seville yet they still pulled it. Looks like they cut the entire winter season back to 2 flights per week. Same deal out of Newcastle for Faro flights.

One downside of budget airlines but I am willing to take my chances.

Default Newcastle cancellations Easyjet

It looks like all the mid weeks flights have been pulled after 4th November to Palma from Newcastle. We're booked to come back on the 4th. Not sure whether to be very relieved or anxious that they've just forgotten about this one I suppose we could always stay out there until they start back up again in April?

Check your flights in your "myeasyjet" account as I am yet to hear via email that they have cancelled my Glasgow - Malaga flights. I heard through the grapevine of problems and only after checking my account I found out the flights had been withdrawn.
