Default Easyjet flights from Luton

For anyone wondering I have just checked and the Easyjet flights are still not released for next summer flying from Luton!

I am so glad we booked with Air Berlin as I would be worrying about getting a flight next year!

I think Pollensa might be right with her theory that they wait until all the Air Berlin flights have been booked before releasing the summer flights. Did I read correctly somewhere (might have been the Sunday Times) that you can normally book flights a year in advance?

JANE,
I HAD AN E MAIL FROM EASYJET SAYING ALL THE REST OF THEIR SUMMER FLIGHTS WOULD BE RELEASED THIS WEEK.
THIS IS EXACTLY AS IT HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST 3 OR 4 YEARS FOR PALMA FROM LUTON, STANSTEAD AND GATWICK.
I TEND TO USE BRITISH MIDLAND FROM HEATHROW WHO YOU CAN BOOK UP TO 12 MONTHS IN ADVANCE AND THE PRICES CAN EASILY BE AS LOW OR LESS THAN EASYJET.ALSO 12 MONTHS IN ADVANCE WITH BA FROM GATWICK ONCE AGAIN IF YOU BOOK FAR ENOUGH IN ADVANCE THEY WILL BEAT EASYJET.
JUST BOOKED WITH BRITISH MIDLAND FOR MAY 05 £35 OUT MID WEEK £46 RETURN ON BANK HOLIDAY SATURDAY CANT BE BAD CAN IT?

REGARDS THE SENOR

Hello Senor Cigar,

No, those prices are great. The trouble with Heathrow is the wonderful M25 which I always love driving on! It's a real trek from where we live and Gatwick is even further. I always worry that we'll get caught in traffic and we have booked at a hotel in the past to ensure we get our flight. I find it incredible with the amount we pay in taxes, etc, etc that we can't even move around the country freely. (Having said that, I travelled down to Kent on Sunday and we positively flew around the M25 for once!)

Plus, when you arrive home after a good holiday the last thing we want to do is sit on the motorway.

Perhaps we should move down to the smoke and stop being country bumpkins!:lol

Just as a quick look, I logged onto the Easyjet website and entered our dates for next year flying at reasonable times. Bearing in mind it has cost us £518.00 with Air Berlin, comparable flights with Easyjet from Luton worked out at £683.92 for 2 adults and 2 children.

Cheaper flights were available at unsociable hours.

I know Senor Cigar said that flights were available at £20 but you would have to be very quick!

I'm happy with Air Berlin.

Jane.
