Default Ryanair

Ryanair have just started flying to PP from Liverpool. Ive just checked their prices. For a family of 4 it is £604 return in Aug!! (£59 each way plus taxes) Bargain me thinks. Easyjet want at least £900 for the same week!!

Has anyone flown with Ryanair before? what are they like?

I flew Ryanair from Bournemouth to Dublin. Only a short flight so no arguments really. The only thing I don't like is that there's no seat allocation, so its a bit of a free-for-all up the aircraft steps!

hi jiggy,

I flew Ryannair to Berlin back in January 2006 and they were fine.

They're really not a lot different to Easyjet, but one word of warning - my dad went to Germany with them last year and was five minutes late for boarding due to a hold-up on the M11 so allow plenty of time to get to the airport (same as Easyjet really). He wasn't allowed to fly as he was late and had to get another flight.

I think boarding closes 45 minutes before departure.

Jane

PS - Have you checked out reviews on Ryannair on the website Porto recommended further down this page and in the Favourites in the Tapas Bar?

Default ryanair

Ryanair are cheap but you must remember that the baggage allowance is only 15kg - not very much for a two week holiday and you have to pay £5 for every hold bag and there is no seat allocation and if you have a complaint they will ignore you (Mr O Learys words not mine)
So you pays your money and takes your chance

Flew from Glasgow to Milan last summer(to go to a Robbie concert)!! and found the whole experience to be very good.
I was really worried as I worked with the handling agent for Ryanair in Edinburgh and didn't have a very good opinion of the company. Five days a week I would dispatch the flight and was well aware of the restrictions Ryanair can impose. Has to be said I would fly with them again.

Jiggy,

Remember the GB atempt to land a probe on Mars, it was called Mars Rover.

It was sponsered by Ryanair and landed on Venus but it is currently being bused over to Mars.

cheers,

Jimbo
