Possible Strikes

Just wondering if anyone has heard whether these strikes are going ahead and does this affect Palma.

I saw posted just the other day
“Ryanair’s next industrial action in Spain will see cabin crew strike on 12th to 15th July , 18th to 21st July and 25th to 28th July across ten Spanish airports where Ryanair operates, according to unions.”

The article also mention EasyJet is striking fir nine days during July.

Don’t honestly want to be alarmist but concerned at this point.

Various news sites have a Ryanair statement from last weekend.

In a statement on Saturday, Ryanair said it expected “minimal (if any) disruption to its flight schedules in July as a result of minor and poorly- supported Spanish labour strikes”.

It added that “air traffic control (ATC) strikes and airport staff shortages across Europe (which are beyond Ryanair’s control) may however cause some minor disruption and passengers whose flights are disrupted will be notified by email/SMS”. ...

As to the real impact, it's probably pot luck as to which flights are actually affected.
Add to it the issues with ground staff and baggage handling on a lot of airports, as well as issues with security and passport control, it will likely be a rarity to have a two leg journey without any issues in summer 2022.

Hope your travel plans won't be disrupted and the magic of PP will make you forget about any concerns you have.

We travelled back last Sunday which was one of the days that Spanish EasyJet cabin crew were on strike.

Flight was on schedule and the cabin crew were British despite the flight being run by EJ Europe
