Default BA switch September Palma departures from Gatwick to Heathrow

After giving BA a second chance after fiasco of cancelled flight/hotel/return via Ibiza last year, they have now changed departure from Gatwick to Heathrow for our late September flights.

Had we wished to go from Heathrow, we would have booked from there. Yes, I know these are unprecedented times, but BA's general behaviour over the last few months has been disgraceful. Unlike many other carriers / tourops, there is no facility to claim refund on their website, you have to telephone them ( ha ha), so they're off our list for good now.

Rebooked with Easyjet, at less cost. Fingers crossed that Government advice changes before we are due to go.

We have never had any luck with booking with BA Always had flight time changes also changed from Gatwick to Heathrow at quite a late date and one Christmas a strike was the final straw I think in the end it didnt happen but when it wasnt settled a week before we cancelled and were only given a voucher !

Had better service from Ryanair !

They were always our preferred airline, but when they dropped Gatwick years ago, we realised that Norwegian & Easyjet provided better service for less cost. Goodness knows where BA will be in 2021; the way they are treating their staff is appalling, can anticipate strikes at any point now.EJ offer newer planes with more room, & BA seem hell bent on abandoning Gatwick which has a huge catchment area. Route does need competition, though, so hope Norwegian return next year.

BA will always try to maximise the number of flights from Heathrow. They have a huge number of expensive 'slots'. The rule is 'use them or lose them'. So rather than losing them they will move flights from LGW to LHR. Sadly this will simply keep happening.

Thanks. Yes, that's the explanation being posited for the shift, which now seems to be at least until 9th November.

BA should change it's logo to "The worlds least favourite airline"

Default Just Cancelled our BA Flights

Sick and tired of BA mucking us about for the third time in as many months. They changed our direct flight from Glasgow to Heathrow to connect with the Palma flight. This was a last gasp desperate attempt to come to PP .

The flight change meant we were not able to connect to other flight. I took this as a sign that we are just not meant to come to PP this year. Absolutely gutted as we we have been coming out for over 30 years.

Holiday already booked for next years visit but so sad not to visit have managed this year.

Desperately sorry for you! We too have been every year since 1994 and got back from our visit yesterday. It was really fine, safe and much quieter. Of course we now have to quarantine.....but we’re retired, so it was worth it (though I don’t agree with it). Keep trying for flights....you won’t regret it.

So sorry again.
