We arrived yesterday 11am Palma airport and we're through passport control in about 5minutes! Quickest and best ever because of the electronic passport reading machines as well as lots of helpful staff showing people how to use them. Brilliant, I hope all airports instal this technology and well done Palma

Expect the security inbound and outbound will be stepped up after the terrorist attack in Barcelona. Son had no delays last week - sailed through but we do think it depends on the time you arrive/depart. Only a week to go until we are back for some sunshine!

Very smooth leaving Palma this morning. No noticeable increase in security....

Following recent posts, perhaps this thread could be renamed 'No Delays at Palma Passport Control'
And maybe, considering the criticism heaped on PMI a few weeks ago, a short email thanking staff for a recent pleasant transit through the airport may be in order.

Not forgetting heartfelt thanks for the 25 days of planned strikes at the airport towards the end of the year......

Agreed, they are brilliant. But, when my wife takes her glasses off for retina reading...it's hilarious. She can't see where to place her passport. Lol, Jimbo

Came back through Palma airport yesterday morning and while it was very busy we only took about 10 minutes to get past Passport Control. Security control was very quick and efficient too.

Where were the passport machines? I got there on the 14th, and all I got was the usual waved through.
