Default Luggage left behind.

On an easyjet flight out this afternoon and as we arrived in Palma, the crew announced that the luggage of 25 people had been left behind in Gatwick because of the 21 bikes which had been loaded into the hold. So the cyclists got their bikes and 25 people had their holidays ruined. No one's fault, but yet another indication of a growing problem.

I'm not sure that the last two posts are in the right thread. Although very interesting and good posts warning of problems with flights, they should be in the flights section. They do not relate to a specific problem regarding cyclists riding on the pedestrian areas. As said previously, this thread should not be a witch hunt, there are many law abiding cyclists who bring a lot of needed custom to the area.

Please delete this post Sparky if necessary.

Clever ploy that from Easyjet - lets tell them their luggage got left behind because of the bikes in the hold, then they can blame the cyclists instead of us!! Nice one

By the way, cyclists pay just as much to have their bikes placed in the hold as anyone else pays for a suitcase (sometimes even more with some airlines) so suitcase or bike; it makes no difference - the airline have a responsilibility to get them all onto the aircraft when people have paid good money for them.

So, what is the "growing problem" referred to above - the number of cyclists who've PAID to tranport their bikes or the airlines messing up? Me thinks the latter.

I think some people just wanted to have a go at the cyclists again

I believe that the post was written in the context of another thread and was moved to this new thread as the point of the other thread was a "specific" concern regarding a few cyclists.

I requested that It was moved by the moderator to its own thread as it was information about difficulties with an airline.
