Easyjet were releasing their next flights in September covering Mar to June next year but just noticed that is now going to be October before they release them

Probably the volatile £ worrying them !

When is usually the best time to book easyjet flights for the first 2 weeks of August? As soon as they're released, or wait until the panic has calmed down a bit?? I've never travelled in August before so not sure of their prices? Any ideas what I'd be looking to pay for 2 adults and 2 children flying from any London airport? Thanks

Would recommend booking as soon as they are released as the prices rise to silly money as this is the busiest month. Easyjet have a price promise so if the flights reduce later you can get a refund on the difference you paid.

We always book as they are they are released. For a number of reasons we were not able to do this for our July flights this year and ended up paying far more than expected.. I had forgotten about the price promise and checked the day before we flew out .. Contacted customer service ..the result was a £200 credit voucher valid fir 6 months from date of issue😃😃

Teacu 14-09-2016 23:39

Exactly, it's a credit voucher, not a straightforward refund (which is great if you hope/plan to make another booking/travel with them again within the next 6 months - not sure what actually applies). Also you have to phone them when you notice the price change (reduction) online, and there is the possibility that by the time you've got thru to someone at easyjet to verify the price - it can take 20 minutes or so, it's gone up, and the credit is not as much as you thought it might have been. I know this for a fact..

I had a great experience with easyjet and their price guarantee. Granted you do have to take the time to check, but definitely worth it if you're going to get a refund voucher going into the hundreds. And I'm not aware of any other airlines that offer this. We managed to change our flights to extend our holiday by nearly 5 days, get pre booked seats and an extra case for the price of the voucher. So in my opinion, well worth the waiting on the phone for.
