Hi Gers,
Don't tend to use Ryanair, but even worse is the new Glasgow Airport web site - too much flaffin around trying to find flight timetable for winter and flights to Palma. Looks like Easy Jet not doing winter to Palma and Jet2 not doing Barcelona which rules out Glasgow via Barcelona in winter. What now for winter?

Looks like Jet2 not doing Malaga from Scotland in the winter either, grim
We would love to spend the festive season in the Port but scuppered by lack of flights. We did have fab time in Nerja last Christmas, with direct flight from Edinburgh to Malaga, but, alas, no sign of any such flight options this winter.
I AM still praying fervently for the miraculous appearance of December flights to Palma from Scotland. Fat chance but hey ho, you never know!?

We live in hope, Liverpool is available but would prefer nearer option as weather in December could be awkward. Will keep looking and via London may be the other option.

LO and MC don't let the haul down to lpl put you off we do it every xmas

leave plenty time to travel down midnight or so take it easy m74 m6 is deserted and have road to yourself other than a few artics most are coming north though
we have done it in some very poor conditions but as always take it steady and easy, can be done in under 3 hours not pushing it

There is an outside chance of flying direct, Ryanair is showing on the Edinburgh Airport site as having direct flights in Winter to Palma but not yet loaded to Ryanair web site. Have never used R/air but if they are the only direct route we might give them a try.

Don't rule out Ryanair flights Glasgow Prestwick - Palma. Prestwick very easily accessable via M8 and M77 from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Plenty parking, very reasonably priced. Trains from Glasgow-Ayr also stop right at airport.

Bet Mr O'Leary is ecstatic after losing his court case to avoid paying folk compensation back 6 years for flight delays when he did his utmost to restrict them to 2 years on the grounds of some very dodgy small print in his terms and conditions. Wouldn't you think a man in his position would know that you can't over ride the law.
Couldn't happen to a nicer chap

If I was going to claim for a flight delay I would do as soon as I got home - why would anyone wait for 6 years to make a claim?

I think this has only recently become law, which allows claims for delays in the past!!
As you say the faster you claim the more chance you will have success.
Unfortunately, we can expect fares to increase sharply now to pay for these claims.
I feel that compensation is excessive for some of the low fares paid. Compensation should be related to the fare paid...I would be quite willing to forego compensation for a cheaper fare or discount.
