Default Ryanair flight to Bournemouth.

We have just flown in to Bournemouth for a couple of days and the Ryanair flight out from Palma only had 25 people on board a Boeing 737. We were amazed that they ran it with so few passengers, let's hope we don't loose the service to Bournemouth.

We regularly use this route to visit PP. Normally it is completely full. The summer schedule began this week, this was probably the reason for the space on the aircraft. We are coming over on the 20th & expect the plane will be moreorless full up! Welcome to Bournemouth Whaley...sorry the weather is terrible!!

The first Ryanair flight out from Bournemouth on 1st April 2014 was about three quarters full. So much nicer this time with allocated seats on board. Also improvements in their hand luggage arrangements - a carry-on suitcase and another bag (like handbag or shopping bag) is now allowed.

The only downside was that the flight we wanted to take on Saturday leaves Palma at 07.00 hours - in the morning!!! so have now booked a local hotel for an additional night and leave on Sunday mid afternoon instead.

The In-laws use this several times a year, and with the Flybe route from Southampton going, we (like others) will be using it.

Thank goodness they do reserve seating now, no more stupid queues in Palma airport and pointless priority boarding!!!

I agree, allocated seating makes the whole experience much more civilised!

Perhaps Ryanair will increase their flights from Bournemouth now without competition from Flybe

They certainly have room for more flights there and Mr OLeary doesent normally miss a trick !

Both Easyjet and Ryanair are so much better now they have allocated seating
