Default Flybe cancel Exeter to Palma route

As from the end of September Flybe are no longer flying to Palma, Alicante or Malaga from Exeter. They have also cancelled Spanish routes from Southampton. They made no announcement, just a sneaky little mention on the web page I discovered by accident.
Such a shame for residents of Cornwall and Devon.

Found this on the flybe site...

https://www.flybe.com/changeform/rou...cellations.htm

T'other half will be disappointed, means we will have to resort to "Cheap Flights" from Bournemouth. Oh well another excuse to show this Cheap Flights with subtitles - YouTube

OMG!!! have just looked at the list and it is long. Lets hope another airline step and take up these routes otherwise it could be very bad news for the future of Exeter airport .

There were rumors a while ago that flybe were having financial difficulties, this could possibly be evidence of that. Lets hope someone takes them on as we need a bit of competition down here to keep prices lower!

More than just rumours PP Kev, flybe really are in the proverbial ****! Don't know how they've survived as long as they have! Such a shame.

It is a shame. They have always treated us well, especially when we had a wedding dress to carry on board. Could not speak higher of flybe for their service over the years, we always tried to book with them first.

Yep!!! and with most flights from Bristol being early morning it will mean either a sleepless night or an overnight stay .
Yet another example of the assumption that England ends at Bristol .

Just booked British Airways flights to Malaga at Christmas and they were cheaper than we paid for Easyjet last year and cheaper than RyanAir this year !!!! and I shall have the luxury of taking my handbag as well as a bag and 23kg of luggage !

Default fly be

Sad news for us as we are only 4 miles from Exeter airport. It will be a great loss to the West country especially losing that lovely aircraft which Lola ,who hates flying, really has grown to feel comfortable in. Lets hope another carrier will pick up the routes and fly from Exeter.
