Default October 2014 Half term

Happy New Year! Like many others it is a struggle to find half term flights for October at the moment. After much searching I booked yesterday Manchester to Palma Sat 25th October returning Thursday 30th. Total price was approx £350 for a family of 4 with cabin bags only. Flying out with Ryanair and returning with Monarch. Be aware that the return flight is priced in Euros. Best to pay with a prepay eurocard to avoid debit card / credit card charges (if your provider makes them - like mine). There was also the return leg of the flight available with Monarch on Saturday 1st November for not much more. I managed to book parking Saturday to Friday morning with APH for just over £19 + quidco. Also booked resorthopper for just over £36.00 for 4 + quidco. I almost took a chance in booking the Gatwick - to Palma with Norwegian Air, I think it was about £119 for 4 for the outward leg, but there is not a lot of choice on the return leg. I hope this helps someone.

october was always a struggle for us when the bluebells were wee and at school the scottish holidays always were a bit earlier than the english half term holidays from memory and cheaper from from english airports, why not check in reverse prices from GLA or EDN might be worth a quick google
