Default Lamb restaurant "es Verger"

Can anyone help with this, my wife is keen to go but I'm not so sure. My daughter won't eat lamb because they are cute, anything else on the menu? Also roughly how much in a taxi if anyone knows. Ta

Hi, yes there are other things on the menu . Not sure a taxi would take you up but best to check at the taxi rank in the Port. It might be costly because the taxi would either have to wait for you or return to collect you probably cheaper to hire a car for the day.

Hi URI we went earlier this year and the lamb was amazing! They only have a small menu but I think they had some pork dishes. It is quite a way from the port and the mountain road which leads to it is hair raising to say the least! Not sure if a taxi would take you as they would probably have to wait to take you back as you could not get one from there. It is very isolated high on the mountainside. Maybe other forum members know more to help.

There has been quite a few write ups on this restaurant in the past, one of the links has a menu on it, which I doubt has changed very much!

I have never heard of a taxi taking anyone up there to be honest, its either drive yourself or walk!

Difficult to get to but well worth the visit for both views and food. I can confirm they do have other dishes on the menu, my hubby had a really nice fish dish.

We spent the last weekend in Pollenca and decided to make the trip to the famous Es Verger lamb restaurant. The journey time from PP is about 40 minutes. We took the motorway to Binissalem turn off, and then drove through Alaro. The directions on the other thread are spot on - just follow the pink signs to the Castle. The food was very very tasty. I can imagine the views from up there are stunning, but we went in the evening so didnt catch the view. If you like your lamb and rustic cooking/restaurants then this place is well worth the visit. The prices are are very fair too. I will be making a return visit next year.

Rupert.

Thanks for jogging the memory on this restaurant Rupert. Do you know what times they are open for the winter? What day and time did you visit? I can imagin the drive back down in the dark is pretty hairy, or it might not be, because you cant see over the edge!!

Lots of keen cyclists do get there by bike but its quite a climb, you could always push the bike and walk the sharp bends. !!!
