Default Restaurant in palma

Hi folks,
Going to do a days excursion into Palma and will stay until last bus, 20.30 I think, feel free to correct if I'm wrong, don't want to miss it!
Anyway, we will be be needing food and water at some point, so has anyone got any recommendations for a nice family restaurant, not too dear in the city centre? Am thinking evening meal as opposed to lunch.
Thanks as always.
Matt

Hi matty
We have been recommended cellar sa premsa and brusela as 2 good places for our family to eat reasonably and well, the latter is supposed to do great steaks on the grill. Not been yet to either so can't comment personally, just had a look on tripadvisor and both get positive reviews on the whole. Would be interested if anyone has any other recommendations as well. Cheers

Cellar ca Premsa is always fantastic ,traditional fare in an ancient celler.
A new restaurant last year is called Olive which is a small place with outside seating, facing the sea front square to the left of the Cathedral , walk out the back of the square to the left it is on your right up a small incline.
This is a real Cumberland find because we ate here twice in one week, which is unheard of in our family.
The food is delicious.À comestible delight.

Tast is very centrally located and does really delicious fresh tapas, both the normal things and much more unusual ones - or they offer other alternatives (steaks etc) if you don't like tapas. If you're going with children there's certainly something for everyone. Kids seem to like the little tapas dishes and mine will try things they would refuse with horror if presented in a larger size. It's quite popular so it's a good idea to book. You would need to check though that they are open all day - they certainly are at lunchtime, but some evening restaurants don't open until at least 7PM, meaning you would find it a struggle to get the last bus.

You are not going to believe this but went to Palma on Saturday and forgot to bring directions with us and a "dispute" arose over which direction to take with mrs dread!!!! Hoping to get down again before we head back. Thanks for the update! Currently in the Miramar, enjoying a beer.
