Talking Car parking in PP

Hi

First time to PP, we are coming to PP July/August and wonder whether there are problems parking near the beach and where the most accessible car parks are?

Welcome Denise

My advice would be to walk to the beach if you can.

However if you are staying a little way out and have young kids in tow and therefore all the associated beach gear to boot you can normally park fairly easily just a couple of roads back from the beach.

We normally go to the beach outside Little Italy, on the Pine Walk, and park near the Oro Playa apartments.

Alternatively the beach at the other end, by Tamarells beach bar and the sailing school is normally fairly easy to park in the roads behind the beach.

Hi Denise, we go to the beach at the Tamarells end, in July/August & have not had a problem parking on main road next to beach for last couple of years. It has been quieter than previous years. handy when the boot is full of lilo's,towels & games etc.

Thanks

We are a couple of miles inland, whilst walkable, as you say with all the kids stuff and the heat it would be much easier to drive in during the day.

Take care not to park around the Police HQ behind the park on the coast road (Paseo de Londres)on Calles la Xarxa and Los Veles in Pinaret.

Since the bomb attack in Palma they have erected tiny signs often hidden by foliage etc saying No parking. Friends last year got towed away and found it expensive to reclaim their car.

Plenty of legal parking is available.

Dont mean to confuse things but this building is not the police HQ.but that of the Guardia Civil and their families.

Thanks for putting this right. I was having a senior moment when I wrote the advice and couldn't remember it was the Guardia Civil!
