Default Parking Information

Hi everyone,
Going to PP next weekend for our annual holiday and we are hiring a car for the first time!!!
We have parking at the apartment so no problems when we are in PP but we were wondering if anyone would be able to provide us with some details of what signs/markings to look out for when parking in other parts of the island (e.g. parking meters, restrictions, etc).
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

When parking within the blue lined areas you need to pay at the nearest meter. I think they become free during siesta time 2-4 pm but not totally sure on this. In Palma lots of carparking, main ones being underground at the Cathedral or at the top of the Avenidas you will find publis and also Corte d'Ingles parking. Most resorts have parking areas either in carparks or on the roadside.

I think that you will find it pretty straightforward.

Just like the UK there are yellow lined areas where you cannot park. There are other white lined areas where it's obvious that you can park, and blue Zones where you need to buy a permit. It's really obvious, to be honest.

Restricted parking zones (like the UK) have times when you can park (for example overnight). If you are parking overnight in town make sure that there isn't a street market the following day that requires you to move your car!

Have a good trip.
