Question Day trip to Cala San Vicente

We are due to return in July this year, (can't wait), and will be staying in the Llenaire area, but are wanting to take a day trip to Cala San Vicente. As we have 2 young girls, age 2 & 6yrs, walking might be a bit far. Can anyone tell me how reliable the buses are to Cala San Vicente, where to get one from and what time they run to, or would we be better hiring a car for the day. Also, how ideal is Cala San Vicente for families?
Thanks in advance.

Default day trip to CSV

Your little girls (and you) will love CSV I'm sure. There is only one bus stop in CSV and the bus drops off and picks up in exactly the same place. When you get off the bus walk back the way you came and when you get to the corner where the Simar aparthotel is you can turn left there and access either of the beaches on each side of the Don Pedro hotel or you can across over the road and go down the steps to Cala Molins beach. In PP the bus goes from the little 'bus station' by the Marina roundabout. The timetables are posted at the bus stops or you can get timetable from tourist office next to the bus station. The journey only takes about 15 mins and did cost 1 euro last year. All the beaches in CSV are lovely, the scenery/views are unbeatable - the only possible downside you might encounter is that the sea is sometimes unsafe for swimming - unlike PP where the sea is almost always calm the coves at CSV are more affected by wind and high seas. Your girls would still be able to paddle but not swim out or snorkel beyond the red flags - sometimes there is even a rope stretched from one side of the coves to the other to warn people not to venture past.

Default Cala San Vicente

Hi
Where you get off the bus in Cala San Vicente there is a mini golf place which your girls will probably enjoy as there are hidden soft toys to spot aswell. They also do hair braiding etc.
The beaches have plenty of rock pools if you get the tide right. We always spent more time on Cala Mollins beach with our boys when they were younger, it is smaller and just seemed safer somehow, you nee to go round in to the next bay when you get of the bus. There is also a bar where you can get a drink whilst the children play below on the beach. Hope you enjoy it. We have been going for more than ten years now.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info. With staying down at the Llenaire end i believe we can get a bus from outside the Galleon Hotel, which would save walking into town with the usual beach clobber! 4 weeks to go and counting.
