Default Formentor Beach / Glass-bottomed boat

We stayed in PP from May 28 - June 4. We didn't venture too far from PP when we were there but I promised Pollensa that I would write posts about good and bad experiences so here is my first one.

We went to Formentor beach which was a fantastic beach. We went there firstly via the glass bottomed boat trip round Cap de Formentor. The boat trip was a bit of a disappointment really. I couldn't see much out of the glass bottom and although the coastal scenery when viewed from the boat looked stunning i couldn't help feeling that it would be more impressive if I drove to Formentor beach rather than on the boat.

Formentor beach though was great. The boat left the marina opposite the Stay restaurant at 10.30. We got to Formentor beach at 12.45. We were then given a choice of getting the boat back at either 13.30 or 15.30. We chose 15.30 and had a magical couple of hours in the sunshine.

On our last day we drove out to Formentor beach in our hire car. The road takes you through the mountains and the views are stunning. The mountain road is very narrow and twisty and was a bit scary to drive on. But the views were worth it. This is definitely the best way to get to Formentor and is a lot cheaper than the boat!

Would really recomend a trip to Formentor beach but wouldn't recommend the boat trip.
