Default La Reserva

We picked up a leaflet about La Reserva at PuigPunyent last year but we never went. We just tried to look at their website, but it is just photographs and little information.
Have you been there? and if so what did you think of the place?.

This is a nice place to visit. There is a 3.5 kilometer trail to walk with beatiful views. The local flora is on display and many birds. Bring your own food.
They also have a site www.lareservaaventur.com/parque_eng.htm

Rob and Caroline, if its the place I'm thinking of, on the way to C'an Picafort,I heard you get eaten alive by the mossies.
Hubby is desperate to get me walking in there, but I'd get eaten up-for some reason I attract the horrible little things.
If its not the same place ignore me.

Enjoy your walk but don't forget the jungle juice. Perhaps hubby can tag along with you.lol

Take Care

Hi Rob and Caroline,
feel really stupid, but hubby tells me we have actually been to La Reserva. Apparently went there about 3 yrs ago. If its the place I think it is , it is fairly near Palma. We went there at new Year, following some friends, so to be honest could have been anywhere. I've got a terrible sense of direction. I remember having a nice picnic, loads of peacocks which my daughter was petrified of, so was I .(They make a funny noise), but there were some pretty walks and no mossies!
There is also a wire thing that my kids dangled from. ( I couldn't look, thought they'd fall off).
If its the same place then its worth a day trip.
Sorry if I have confused you.

Take Care and enjoy yourselves, Pops

Sounds like the same place Pops. Thank you.
Caroline and I plan to hire a car for a few days in October and we are thinking were we could go, I thought this place could be nice for a change. If we go we'll give it a review.
Take care.

Visited last year - well worth the journey. Found in Puigpunent (just outside Palma). Lovely walk, lots of birds and even a few bears (caged!)

Sounds great. But bears in cages Mmmmmmmmm, I do hope they are in enclosures not cages but I'd prefer them to be roaming free. I know a few kids I could take there if that were the case :rollin .

Sorry meant enclosures! Didn't want to frighten anyone (especially if petrified of peascocks!):\

Think I'd rather meet a bear than a peacock.

Beautiful to look at but they terrify me.

My family and I went yesterday and had a great day but I could not help noticing that the place needed some updating and we all felt rather upset by the bears. This place is huge so why are the 3 very sad looking bears in such a small enclosure - the goats had 4 or 5 times more space to roam around than the bears who just sat huddled in a corner totally ignoring everyone. I wonder when they were last inspected and why they are even there at all???
Anyhow, bears apart, and providing you like peacocks as there are hundreds of them, it is a wonderful day out for the family - take a picnic and either eat in the recreational arrea or do as we did and find your own secluded spot as there are lots of benches throughout the reserve and fresh water!! We enjoyed a good birds of prey display at 1400hrs also in the recreational area which was busy with locals using the bar-b-ques which really added to the atmosphere. About 10€ adults and 5€ children under 10 for just the reserva . - a lot more for the adventure part - think it was 35€ for adults but looked good.
