Sorry to hear that there is now only one sad bear as in the early spring there were two sad bears - see a previous posting which I made where I stated my concern about them being there at all.>: I agree La Reserva is a wonderful place especially if you have children who will enjoy exploring nature and getting some fab excercise also.

How fit do you need to be to enjoy this place ..... ie what about my reasonably active 76 year old parents?

difficult to say, to be honest,

but it is all up and down, and steep in places, with just a rope bar in parts, if i recall correctly. I did it in flip flops, so not that bad, but, could be very tiring for an older couple, as i was shattered, almost dehydrated, as wasnt a drinks point for ages, and didnt bring, as expected there to be lots of "waterholes" so to speak... In my opinion, id say No, and cant comment on what i seen/people there, as we arrived very late, we were the only ones there, exept the staff....was heaven....and if they are struggling, the bar is quite a bit away, to sit for a break.

hope this helps

deb

Visited here a few years back and if its the same place, did you realise that the waterfalls are fake?! They are switched on - or undammed - just before it opens and dammed up again at closing!! I thought this was hilarious as did our 3 young(at the time) children! :lol

Belladonna,

funny you should mention that, as boyfriend and i , had a full conversation/debate on this topic, me thinking they had to be fake, and him (who is more often right, than me) thought they were real, which seemed crazy to me, as they have very little rain fall, in general, and there was a lot of watertfalls, in the end we agreed to ask as we left, but as we were so rushed, (on way to palma airport, home) we forgot, so cheers !! thats 1 for deb...
