Not sure what happened to the drum and cornet band. We went along to listen but gave up when no sign of them either in the square or on the quayside. Did any one else find them.

The dates for this years Festival of Sant Pere are published as 28th June - 1st July. Tapas route joining in on Sunday 1st on Seafront. Night market also happening on the Passeig Saralegui.

Thursday 28th June
7pm - Cornets and drums.
8pm - Sardines served at Moll Vell.
9.30pm - Traditional fishermans songs.

Friday 29th June
11am - Solemn Mass.
2pm - Lunch at the Royal Yacht Club.
21.30pm - "Ball de Pages" Songs.

Saturday 30th June
6pm - Fira de la Mar.
6pm til 9pm - A demonstration by fishermen.
10pm - Music.

Sunday 1st July
11am Tapas from La Ruta del Tapeo.
11am til 1pm - A demonstration.
7.30pm -The Giants and Caparrots.
8pm - Fun for the children.
10pm - Espectacle de Foc ( i think this means some kind of fireworks) :confused:

We arrive 30th June so will be able to catch some of this...where does it take place :)

19.00: Street procession with the Pollensa drums and bugles.

20.00: The "Sardinada" (sardine BBQ). The old pier.

21.30: Havaneres (Cuban sea songs) plus Mallorcan songs performed by Norai and with some burnt rum.

Friday, 29 June (Sant Pere):
11.00: Solemn mass. Followed by the presentation of a commemorative poster for 100 years of the local fishermen's brotherhood created by artist Joan Bennassar. The old pier.

14.00: Lunch on behalf of the brotherhood at the nautical club.

21.00: Farmers' folk dance with Aires de la Cala and the Orats pipers.

Saturday, 30 June:
18.00: Dignitaries arrive for opening of the Fira de la Mar (sea fair).

18.00-21.00: Demonstration of fishermen's craft and knot-making.

22.00: Concert by the orchestra Moon. The old pier.

Sunday, 1 July:
11.00-13.00: Tapas sampling via the Tapas Route of Puerto Pollensa.

11.00-13.00: Demonstration of fishermen's craft and knot-making.

19.30: Street procession with the giants and big heads of Pollensa "L'Esbart de Sant Jordi", accompanied by the Orats pipers.

20.00: Children's party with Flip i Flop. Ice-creams from Gelats Valls.

22.00: Fire spectacle, leaving from the old pier and along the Paseo Anglada Camarassa.

Yes, Bella, the old pier is near where all the old 'llaut' boats are, by La Llonja cantina. It was defnitely there last year, anyway.
