Default Sardinada !!!!

What a great night .

Just back from the Sardinada ( part of the San Pere Festival that has been going on for the last three nights and is due to finish tomorrow ).

There's two great fiestas a year here when the whole town turns out . One San Antoni and again tonight . Everyone heads for the Marina for the "sardine night" and boy was it good again. You wait in line to buy your ticket ( a 1 Euro donation to charity ) and after about twenty minutes you hit the food and drink . Three large barbequed sardines plus bread , olives and tomatoes and a cup of vino , aqua etc etc. The local trumpet band leaves the church at about 7 .30 and leads every one there .

Music and dancing and you can go back for seconds , once you're in .

Everybody, local ,from the town goes and it's just a great , great community event which we all enjoy on a perfect evening overlooking the Marina .

If anyone is here at the end of June again, do try and make it .

It's great fun and lovely to be at .

Sparky,

Did you make it ???

I know there's an Alcudia dot com but the last night of Sant Pere in Alcudia was fabulous .

Debz, Chelseadons and ourselves had a lovely table on the Marina in the Port of Alcudia for a great meal followed by the spectacular firework display at midnight . Every bit as good as the Port's Virgen del Carmen show !!!!
