Default The Three Kings.

We went to see The Three Kings Parade last night. Light rain was falling but that didn't stop the residents of PP turning out to enjoy the festivities. The parade came along the Pinewalk from the military base at about 6:30, there were lots of people in Arab style costumes riding horses, and the floats carrying each of the Kings were illuminated as were a few smaller ones. Of course everyone was being showered with sweets which are thrown from the floats.Everything culminated in the square, it was lovely to see the excitement on the childrens little faces.
It's all very quiet here today as it is a Bank Holiday. Roll on San Antoni.

Ah yes, I remember it well from last year. The weather was terrific then, and I do hope it is the same for you this year. It was sunglasses and drinks all day.Thats probably why it took so long for them to climb to the top of the pole! Fingers crossed for you. Not for the climb obviously!

Yes we went along, its so good to see them mainting their traditions. Shame the bands didn't march but were heard by the church. The firework display was also missing ,credit crunch savings I guess.

Yes i am afraid so Lollipop, i was told a few weeks ago that the powers that be had thought about not having anything this year for Kings in PP.
I wonder if anyone went to Pollensa or Alcudia parades ?, it would be nice to hear what they did last night.

Sorry forgot to mention i have posted photos from last night in the Tapas Bar and they are also available on PP forum group on Flickr

I saw Alcudia being set up, they had converted the whole square (Plaza Calos)into a mini Betlehem complete with live animals, thatched roofs stables etc- watched the main event in Pollenca, as always massive turn out but the set up in the square was little more than a small stage and a red carpet. The floats of course were brilliant but I think thats down to the people not the council
