Default Virgen del Carme 2018

Is it still too early for this year's dates? Hoping we're lucky enough to be there for the Fiesta

Nothing has been posted yet but the 16th July is the actual day of the Virgen del Carmen is a Monday so i assume events will take place from then until Sunday 22nd July, hopefully finishing with fireworks.

I will post as and when they publish the timetable but we all know they always leave it late .

I hope not, as I was told that they were going to be held inbetween the 8th and the 16th of July.

Anyway, that’s when I am planning to be over there !

You may be right . I wish they would publish these things sooner than they do .

I think the Sunday night festival and fireworks are always the closest Sunday to the 16th therefore it would be Sunday 15th. I'm already looking at next year where I'm hoping the Sunday night fireworks will be Sunday 14th. But as Sparky says it is annoying that they will not release the date well in advance.

15th is the world cup final and while I know football isn't everyones cup of tea if Spain keep progressing, possibly to the final I can't imagine they would hold the fireworks on the same night.

I've preempted the date and booked a ringside/ seaside table at Stay for some friends who are arriving on the 15th. I've told them what a fab night it is and they're very excited, so hopefully it is that night !

Yes they probably do but for some reason they are never in a hurry to publicise any events, it's so annoying .

Sounds like a plan Debz....but what if Engerland make the final??? KO at 8pm and you won't want to be sitting in Stay......surely?

I'm there from the 13th and not sure what to do!

BTW Sparky, I can't read your posters, can you give me an idea of what is happening from the 13th please, as I'm a Virgen del Carme virgin!
