Indeed. St. George's day is not celebrated enough. Patriotism equals racism by so many of our politicians and liberals in this country.

Born and bred English and proud!

Cheers Sparky.

indeed happy st George's day to all in that part of our united kingdom

npn you are correct I do feel sorry these days for our English cousins, its now as if you wave a cross of st George or a union flag you're some sort of racist

although its fine to be patriotic about welsh, Scottish and irish saints once a year!

born and bred Scottish and proud to be british

You are correct gers. I did indeed forget to say that I'm proud to be British also and want to keep the "union". We are better together and I think most Scots think that. I can't stand Salmond.

Anyway, off my soapbox now, getting all political!

npn, I really wasn't looking to make a political statement its a holiday forum after all

although I must add I will be moving to Carlisle soon if said wee dictator gets his way

you can do Carlisle to Glasgow/lanarkshire and vice versa in just over an hour these days on the recently upgraded M74

never mind investing in property in pp, Carlisle may be the next property hotspot for us scots lol
