Alcudia's auditorium

Hola,

I've just been doing some pre-holiday research, and came across the Alcudia auditorium website. There is a Siurell Big Band/Pau Pique event on the 10th April. Does anyone have any further info please - are they to be recommended? And if so, is it possible to book online? I can't find any links to any booking system but maybe I am just being thick!

We haven't been to Son Amar for a few years (don't drive and can't really be bothered with the lengthy journey offered by No Frills) but would like to go to some sort of music/dance show if possible. Of course, there may be events on offer in Pollensa but no word of anything yet?

Muchas Gracias for any advice!
Mairi:)

varsp 30-03-2014 11:55

Sparky 29-04-2014 09:20

Yes the council website does list some things but it is in Catalan and they leave it very late for dates of fiestas, i have emailed them in the past (in Catalan) but have never had a reply :(. That said i did notice the other day a post on their FB page which they gave a translation for, so maybe things will get better......i certainly hope so ;).

You're right Sparky but I think some stuff can be instantly translated using Bing or something(but I'm no expert!) and some of the translations On their FBI page aré a bit weird to say the least:)

It's only the main headers that translate automatically not actual content. Google and Bing are ok but as you say they do throw up some weird translations, at least it gives a rough idea of what is being said.

Events in June/July and August.

The long list of events can be found here :- Majorca Daily Bulletin,

Millipet 20-05-2014 15:09

Have been into the Tourist Information office in PP a couple of times in the last week and still the "Holiday in Pollensa" booklet is not available. This is surprising considering the holiday season is well under way now.

Sparky 20-05-2014 15:23

I don't know if it's true but i was told that there wouldn't be one this year .

lollipop 21-05-2014 11:17

The holiday handbook is available from Multi Hire, it is very colourful this year and contains lots of info.

Sparky 21-05-2014 13:14

Yes i have a copy of the Holiday Handbook and it's very good but i always preferred the Holiday in Pollensa book and it will be a shame if it's not published this year.

lollipop 21-05-2014 16:39

I agree but maybe its just a step too much for the new owner of TON this year. I know Ann used to publish it.
