Sol Quan Balla.

I now this probably isn't the right thread but im new to this and not sure how to create a new one - basicallywe are going out to Pollensa on the 24th June for a week, and ive heard that in Alcudia they have the Fiesta Del "Sol Quan Balla" on the 24th June. has anyone heard of this as I cant seem to find anything when I google it...
Has anyone been before? what can we expect? and will we struggle catching a taxi/ bus back if its busy??

Hi Taylor Family, i have moved this post into a separate thread for you.
I have found this info on the Mallorcan Villas website, although it doesn't mention Alcudia i hope someone will know.

Quote:

June 24 : Sant Joan : Fiesta Del "Sol Quan Balla" - The Summer solstace is celebrated and, the night before, it is traditionaal to light bonfires (foguerons) near the sea. The fiesta should carry on until sunrise: "el sol quan balla". ("when the sun dances"). As well as in Palma, Sant Joan is cause for important fiestas in Calvia, Deia, s'Esglaieta, Muro, Felanitx, Son Servera and Sant Joan. Sant Joan Pelós comes out to dance in Felanitx.
To start a new thread go to the relevant section and you will see a "button" which says "New Thread", click on that and a posting box will open up, give it a title and press "Submit new thread", i hope this helps ;).
