Default Pirates Show

I see that there have been a few threads reagrdingtis before, but can anybody tell me where it is actually held as I ahve been on their website and can't seem to find the venue details? Is it near PP, or is it in one of the bigger towns?

Also, I se that they do an "adults-themed show", is this tacky or actually quite entertaining as (and with upmost respect to families out here) I would prefer to be at a show without screaming children if at all possible. I know that not all childen behave badly, but it only takes one or two to spoil an evening out.

Many thanks.

Richard

Hi, best thing to do is actually google Pirates Adventure Magaluf. Then you willl get a few sites come up which will give you most of the details if you take a bit from each! It is in Magaluf obviously, and a fair old drive from PP. We have only been once - many years ago - when the children were young. Not been to the adults one, although I have heard it can be pretty raunchy!
There are also a few companies which do a coach trip down there, to include dinner as well (which the show does), which may be an option rather than drive down. Again, its a long old drive, not too bad going because you see a fair bit of the island, but hard going back home if you cant sleep!

If you look on this forums Excursion info, it shows a bit more too. No Frills do an excursion down to the show.

Hope this helps a bit!

Without wishing to sound like a snob, I have to say that when we went to the main 'family-friendly' Pirates show about 5 years ago we found the whole experience just too uncomfortably tacky. The actual performance was great, quite a breathtaking spectacle delivered with vigour and wit, and we would very happily watch the show again - but in a very different environment.

We were CRAMMED in, even a size zero bottom would have felt squished by their seating arrangements. Then the food, what an insult to the tastebuds... We hardly expected a gourmet feast but, oh dearie me, to be served the equivalent of a primary school canteen lunch (sausage, beans, coleslaw...) was pretty grim! And the drinks, well, if I remember correctly, there was some pretty foul 'wine' and squash.

In my opinion the owners are just downright greedy and must make a Huge profit if they overcrowd the venue like that on a regular basis. That said, the show is uplifting, exhilarating and amusing so if you are willing to put up with the potential discomfort (and eat dinner beforehand) then it's definitely a night to remember, and hopefully for all the right reasons!

Many thanks for the honest appraisal MairiCladach - that was exactly the sort of thing I was worried about.

Playing "Devil's Advocate" here.......i have never done this show but MairiCladach did say it was 5 years ago, it's possible that it might have changed since then. Has anyone been recently? .

Friends of mine went a couple of months ago

Said show was amazing

BUT tables very crowded ..... They were lucky that half their party didn't turn up so they were able to spread out but they said normal seating numbers on the table would have been unpleasant

They thought the food was toning special but edible ..... Much what they expected from such a venue
