Default Leapy Lea

My wife and I were in PP the last week in September, and went to see Leapy Lea at Hardlys American Diner.
I have to say that we thought he came across as very genuine person, talking to most of the audience, and his singing was pretty good too.
It was mostly country and western, which I have not been a greast fan of but I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it.
As well as remembering " Little Arrows" ( as a small boy) I remembered him when he appeared in the " Passport to the Sun series on television.

Hi Ronnie, I know he has a lot of followers but I haven't had the opportunity as yet to see him.
I remember Passport to the Sun too and most lunch times I was glued to it. I remember he was quite a good cook too!

Hope you enjoyed your break in PP.

hi Eleanor,
I too was glued to Paassport to the Sun. I spoke to lee on the night and he still makes the curries. He told me that he is known on the island as the "Vindaloo man" !!!

Lol Ronnie - vindaloo and temperatures seen recently in PP don't really go together do they!
I thought he lived down the other end of the Island in Santa Ponsa when they filmed Passport in the Sun. I wonder if he has now moved to Pollensa area. I suppose his twins are quite grown up now so maybe he has.

Ronnie, we were there a couple of weeks ago on the Wednesday watching him - and joining in when we could! Certainly remembered the words to Little Arrows though! It was a great night and he is a very interesting performer to watch and listen to, so glad we managed to get there. Hopefully he will be rebooked a few more times.

Default On outside looking in

While in Puerto Pollensa a couple of weeks ago - we were strolling round on our way to a late meal and went by Hartleys American Diner.
Who should we see but our favourite Leapy?!
We paused out there to listen and he sounded in such good voice - also he was standing playing his guitar and looked a lot younger than he surely must be.
He was cracking good jokes alongside the singing and we wished we could have lingered but had a meal in mind round the corner.
What a lot of pleasure this guy has given to us all - both in Majorca and on our more quiet days in England. I seem to remember something about a "bag of onions" on the door in that tv series - can't remember the context but think it was when he was rushing his wife to the hospital for the birth of the twins. I know it became a family joke for a long while. Good ol Leapy and thanks for making our good times even better for seeing you.
