Default Playing with the great Guillermo and Derek Holt

Every year we come out on holiday to Puerto Pollensa I get the chance to play drums with the Hustlers. I am most grateful that Luis and Guillermo allow to play with them. This time which was last Saturday night at Hostal Borras was even more special. Sadly my very good friend Marcos, who used to the bass with the Hustlers, has moved back to Uraguay. In his place was Derek Holt who was the founding member of The Climax Blues Band. What an honour to play with such great musicians. The crowd was great on Saturday as well. Everybody was enjoying the music. Luis is one of the best drummers I have ever seen. Thank you to Guillermo, Luis and Derek for a memorable night

I have to agree - and like all the greats he makes it looks so easy.

Was a great night

We pay more attention to what music is on that where we are going to eat that night !

Norai has been a great addition had some lively nights in there .Laguna excellent with Guillermo and Derek ,Hostal Borras has had a great atmosphere and feel lucky to have such good musicians to listen to Was very disappointed we missed Carol Kidd by a day!

We are greatful to Gordon and Sparky for keeping it up to date with information

Gordon says use it or lose it but that works for the venues as well We ate in Borras and Laguna because the music was on but would return to both again

Will be back for more June and September again next year !

You're spot on - venues must adapt and give people what they want. I wonder if the big corporate behind O'Hara's (for example) looks at the crowds spilling on to the street at Norai every week and wonders what might have been if they hadn't prioritised football on TV. Not that I am against the football...

Live and learn.
