Default THE LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!

Not sure where to post this but I thought this section might be best.

Has anyone else seen the two young spanish lads who entertain diners and drinkers during the summer season in PP?

One plays the violin and the other the acordian (sorry not sure if I have spelt that right). They play a few tunes and then ask you for euro's.

I always find them quite entertaining but they play the sames tunes day or night, maybe they need to add a few tunes to their repatoire!!!!

Just curious cos someone told me they are gypsies!!!! Anyone else come across them or know if this is true!!!

Default local entertainment

jessiebean,

They are not actually spanish. One is Russian the other is from one of the eastern european countries.Could possibly be gypsies,I've known them for a couple of years and never had any problems with them. Always friendly and seem nice boys.

Give them a request and they will play it if they can.

They were definitely out and about a couple of weeks ago, although I have to say I felt they needed to add to their repertoire a bit! I was on the verge of asking if they could play far away!:lol

Joking aside, I love hearing live music of any desciption instead of the bland muzak/elevator music you hear in a lot of eateries.

We also seen them while having a coffee at Pascilinos, although they were next door, (jokers) i think. but what struck me as weird, was they played for a good ten mins around the tables etc, and then walked off, with out collecting any money , i assumed it was part of the pine walk entertainment...

it was very nice tho.......memories...ahhhh

Interestingly the violinist was on his own for the whole time we were there Jul 11 to 26

He does repeat his fave tunes but we saw him play a request on more than 1 occasion ............ I like him because whenever I have seen him he hasn't pestered for money after he plays, he just accepts what is offered

Also think the older accordianist is very good and also was also quite discrete when it came time to collect

There is however a young accordianist doing the rounds who isn't as well accomplished as the older guy ( who could well be from the same family ) and when we saw him he was a bit too pushy with the hat ........ he actually stood at each table ( at Joker ) and waited until people either gave him money or asked him to go away .......... interestingly when passing a few days later we saw him being moved on from the same place by one of the waiters
