Missed the duo but had 3 very good late nights in Nostalgia over the weekend.

Where Colin gets his energy (and patience from) is beyond me, great dancing from the Playa Mar reps and their Thriller routines, and Lee kept the glasses fully charged (have you found my Bailies yet ?)

Not everyone's cup of tea, but with the apparent demise of Chivas is should boost their late night trade this season.

Great fun and great hosts

Cheers

Mr Jilly and friends

I'm bound to get slated by some for this but I really enjoy Nostalgia's with one of the main reasons being it's not full of youngsters. I appreciate that some do go in there but I really don't want it full of them. I find it's one place I can relax.

And before anyone says, I have a five year old myself who I take in there now and again for his steak but he ain't there 'til 3am!

Have spoken to a local friend tonight and he has told me that Chivas will only open in the peak season for 3 months.

Nostalgia is our favourite place to go, as nickpaulanoah says, it is suitable for the oldies !
I don't feel like somebodies granny when I go in, as there is a good mix of ages, in fact myself, hubby and our group of friends are usually the last to leave.

Phew ... glad to hear that Chivas will be open in high season at least. My kids and their friends would be devastated if Chivas closed. At 21 and 23 even they are too old for Chivas at times but they like the cheesiness of it, as I do on the odd occasion

I think it's very much a "play it by ear" thing at the moment .

Nell Shakespeare and Alex O'Brien will be playing live again tonight and every Saturday in Nostalgia starting around 10pm .

They are also showing the World Cup on the TV outside, they are being totally flexible while the competition is on, depending on what the majority of customers want .

Good news for those of us not interested in football, but still able to enjoy ourselves with music, singing dancing and socialising !
