Municipal Swimming Pool

Hi All,

Out next week with the kids and was hoping to take them to the indoor pool beside the school. Does anyone know the opening hours at present, and the cost. Any info much appreciated. thanks :)

Sparky 30-03-2013 00:32

I don't have up to date info but this from last year.

Monday - Friday 7.30am until 10pm.
Saturday - 9am until 2pm and 4pm until 9pm.
Closed on Sundays and fiestas.

eleanor 30-03-2013 12:33

Not sure of the other info you need garoda but just to warn you that swimmings hats need to be worn and they won't allow you in without - unless this has changes of course!

usandthewoof 30-03-2013 13:33

Eleanor is abosolutely correct, hats do still need to be worn by adults and children, and even those with no hair (as hubby found out !)

The cost for a swim is €2.50 at present. You will also be given a locker key.

Enjoy !

Sparky 30-03-2013 13:39

UATW is that price for everyone or for residents :).

lollipop 30-03-2013 19:02

UATW is that the price for people with Empadroment I thought when I last looked it was more.

garoda 30-03-2013 22:41

Thanks all, particularly the tip about the swim hat, I wouldn't have occurred to me. I feel a trip to Decathlon coming on!

Sparky 30-03-2013 23:37

I am pretty sure they sell them at the pool :).

lollipop 31-03-2013 16:30

Sparky, sorry for the duplication I missed your post re price.

Sparky 31-03-2013 16:43

No problem Lollipop, i am was sure you are right that there is a separate price for non residents but i can't find a list of the tariffs anywhere. Seem to remember that it was 3€ or 3.50€ but not sure .

lollipop 31-03-2013 18:04

I think you're right Sparky, did have them at home but can't lay my hands on it at moment.

usandthewoof 01-04-2013 14:53

Yes, I stand corrected...it is €3.50 for non residents / emapdronamiento holders

Sparky 01-04-2013 16:00

Thanks for clearing that up UATW :D.

So... as a property owner but a non-resident, I just turn up at the pool (with a hat), pay the fee and take a swim? Do I need any documents or is there a need to enrol in any way?

Trust me Mike pay the non residents fee, because the lady on the desk will take no nonsense & waste no time in telling you, we have felt her wrath many times over the past 5 weeks.

Sparky 10-10-2013 10:54

The pool will be closed this Saturday 12th for the public holiday.

garoda 15-03-2015 18:19

Hi All,

We're in PP over Easter and wondered if anyone knew the current opening hours for the swimming pool, as well as any closures over the Easter Period?

Thanks in advance,

Garoda

Outdoor Municipal Swimming Pool

Hi

Someone mentioned to me that there was an outdoor municipal swimming pool in the Port but I have absolutely no idea where!!!

Does anyone know if there is one and if yes - where?

Thanks

Sparky 28-01-2016 21:26

As far as i know there is only the indoor pool.

Lorenzo 29-01-2016 00:00

And the lovely Bay of Pollensa!! :D:D:D

Gommar Goffer 29-01-2016 11:13

There used to be a municipal outdoor pool on Calle Cadernera in Gommar.

sws97sdg 29-01-2016 11:18

Going to say the same thing, I assume it still there under all the undergrowth, nothing was done to the site was it, used to walk along the road past it and here the screams of delight coming from the kids there!

lollipop 29-01-2016 16:05

The municipal pool that is now an indoor pool, started out life as outdoor pool.

STOXIE 31-01-2016 19:43

And it was wonderful. Swimming against the backdrop of the mountains.

It looks as though they have been filled in with builders rubble as a safety measure?

It also seems overrun with cats and the Gentleman who rides a bike, scavenging, and sucking on a large cigar uses the area. Seen him disappearing into the bushes near the roundabout where Cadernera meets the ring road.

lollipop 01-02-2016 19:47

He is living in there I believe. There were others at one time but not sure if still there.

As I didn´t know there was a pool until it was mentioned here, I popped round ( on my recently purchased bike ) to check out the "conditions".

Anyone can use it, including foreigners, both residents and non-residents.

People who are enpadronado in Pollensa pay slightly less ( € 3 ) than people who aren´t ( € 4 ).

Over 65´s pay € 2,50 and € 3,00.

There are special offers for longer periods of time, which can work out at less than € 1 per day.

Open every day from 7,30 to 22,00 except Saturdays 9,00 - 14,00 and 16,00 - 21,00

It was suggested to me that it´s best to avoid Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12,00 and 14,00 due to schools playing water games.

Sundays and public holidays closed.

The website isn´t much use. The phone number is 971 865 212

Hope this helps,

Molt
