Default Excursions with young children

Hi everyone - me, my husband and 2 children aged 6 and 2.5 are coming over for our first visit to PP in August. A million years ago i was a holiday rep down in the south and enjoyed a lot of the excursions and evenings out. I would love to do an organised day or night out but not sure what would be suitable for our children really. I know there are a couple of aqua parks but think a full day outside would be too much for them. Any tips about where we could go and any advice for a family coming to PP for the first time?
Thanks

If you are happy to drive, you cannot beat a tday out at Palma Aquarium

Palma Aquarium Mallorca

It is a mixture of inside and out, with a lunch area, an outside snack/icecream kiosk, kiddies play area, interactive parts and just fabulous all round for all ages! I SO wish I had shares in this place for the amount of times I have recommended it and been myself!

There are some more ideas here Excursions & Water parks in Majorca Mallorca but you'll probably find you really don't need to do that much. There are boat trips from the pier that go to Formentor & Cala San Vicente but most of the time they'll be happy digging up the sand, splashing about & running around in the evenings & do read http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...-pollensa.html written in 2002 (!) but still relevant today!

When my terrible teenagers were little we would drive into Alcudia so they could go to the childrens activities there in the early evening, they have ball pool places, go karts, pony rides and an aqua park. This would tire them out so we could have a couple of evenings in relative peace. It is easy to get the bus to and from Alcudia and they would probably enjoy the ride too For a big day out we would go to Marineland as they loved the penguins, but it is quite a drive. Have a lovely trip.

Thanks for your replies! the aquarium looks great, we might give that a go one day. We usually go to Tenerife and they love the penguins etc at the loro parc there so think they will enjoy it. Is it in the centre of palma?

echo the marineland suggestion - not too bad a trip since the motorway extension opened, very good crazy golf at palma nova on same trip?

also horse/pony rides at Gaviotas in Alcudia - turn R at the 'taxi' roundabout, just behind Continental Park Hotel over bridge, about 'tea time'

Club Pollentia have a mini disco every night at 8:30, for the price of a couple of drinks

Marineland is at Blanes (I think) past Palma on the way to Magalluf - I found this link for you and I am sure the Tourist Info office on the roundabout in PP has leaflets but I found this link for you.
