Default Bus from airport to PP

Can anyone tell me what bus I'd need from the airport to get to PP?
I think that the number 1 and 2 go from the bus lane there?

I believe you have to get the bus from the airport to the main bus station in Palma then the bus from there to PP.

How often are the buses from the airport to Palma and then from Palma to PP and what bay number at Palma would I need?
(This would be for January).

Cheers.

Might see you on the bus, we will be using in for January. If you check out the previous posts you will find good advice from people, but yes it's the number one from opposite the taxi rank from the road outside the airport. This takes you to Palma, then you catch the bus up to PP.
Not sure on the times yet, I believe they change around the 1st each year, check out their web page, they are around every hour and a half, with a bigger gap in early afternoon.
I will be looking myself soon, so will post times when I have them.

Hi nickpaulanoah.

I did this in reverse 4 weeks ago when I travelled from PP to the airport to pick up a hire car. It was very easy.

The No. 1 bus operates between Palma airport and central Palma every 15 minutes, takes around 15 minutes and costs 2.50 euros. It has an digital LCD display inside showing the name of the next stop, get off at Plaça Espanya, where there are escalators that take you down to the main bus station. Get the number 340 bus from there to PP, I think it's stance/bay 5, and costs 6.05 euros.

Here's a link to the current 340 service timetable. Mondays to Saturdays they leave Palma at 07.30, 09.00, 11.30, 13.00, 15.30, 17.30, 19.15 and 20.30. They are less frequent on Sundays and public holidays. This timetable/times are valid until 30th April 2013.

From the airport you catch the No. 1 bus from in front of the car park, walk down from arrivals towards it, over the zebra crossing and the stop is directly on the right.

This thread will be useful too:

Brilliant Steve, perfect description how to do it! Just one thing the times are Monday to Friday on the timetables and then Saturday and Sundays so times listed are week days, Sat and Sun as follows, 9.00, 11.30, 13.00, 15.00, 17.15 and 20.30. Think this is right as Dilluns a divendres - Monday to Friday and Dissabtes, diumenges i festius - Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

I had to google it as well! I checked before because we once made the mistake of thinking there was a bus due on a Saturday in the summer but there wasn't.
Another way is to catch the Alcudia bus which we did when we just missed the PP bus once, runs similar frequency as the 340, we just got a taxi from Alcudia to the port which was around 11 euros, still cost us less than a taxi direct and we had a trip along the wonderful beach road thrown in!

Copy that SWS. We narrowly missed the P.P.bus but caught the Alcudia instead. Worked fine. Happy New Year everybody.

I have to admit we did have good intentions this Xmas about getting the palma then the pp bus as never booked a car or transfer, as soon as we arrived at airport the notion had left us and jumped in a taxi :/

When you've done it a couple of times and realise how easy it is you'll never go back to the expense of taxi or hiring.
