If you are picking a car up, about an hour and 20 mins. if you are getting a taxi, about an hour. Just dont stress about it, it will all be worth it!

I think Tess means how long to pass through the airport? Not drive through it !!!!

Depends where exactly your plane's stand is. It can be quite a walk.......it's a big airport.

I'd allow half an hour from exiting the plane, walking through the concourse's and past passport control onto baggage reclaim, no less.

Hope that helps........unless anyone knows better/different?

In addition to the above, if you are hiring a car from Record add another 3 hours & bring a Thermos & deck chairs.

To be fair to me nick, I took all that into consideration as a job lot from airplane door to getting away from the airport! But thanks for splitting it down though!

I think we understood where you were coming from Bella and i'm sure Tess did too! It was quite logical that you were giving the approx. time from the aircraft to either collecting a hire car or getting a taxi.
I do agree with cumberland though that perhaps best to add a few hour on if using Record!
Such a pain and not a good use of holiday time to be stuck in their que!

Yes agree. It can depend on so many things can't it, ie; how fast do you walk, do you have hold luggage to collect (i have spent more than an hour waiting for the flipping cases to arrive ), how quickly you get through passport control, then of course the car hire queues .
Take Bella's advice and try not to get stressed, as soon as you get your first glimpse of the bay it will all fade away in your memory, have a great holiday .

Too true Sparky - that Bay takes away any memory of delays and ques and stresses of home. Nothing else seems to matter anymore! The best tonic available!

Agree, its only around half an hour off the plane, through passport to the baggage reclaim,we are never more than that with hand luggage, can be outside or waiting for a car, the main delay is the baggage, they are up to 20 carousels now, and depending on the time of year it can take uo to an hour, but as you are going next week I think if you land at 11, you will be through with luggage by 12, hope this helps
