Taxi between PP and Pollensa town
Can anyone tell me what the cost of a taxi is between PP and Pollensa town? Also are there plenty of taxis available on the street? Is there a taxi rank? or would calling one/letting the restaurant call one be a better bet? All your taxi knowledge would be appreciated!

In June we paid about 8 euros for a taxi during the day/early evening. It is a little dearer later at night. I have never caught one on the street - always at taxi rank or phoned for one.
Hasn't seemed to make any difference in cost when a restaurant has called a cab and it might be more comfortable than standing at a taxi rank during busy periods
Taxi fares are shown on a board near the taxi rank in PP which is located next to the bus station at the roundabout where the main roads to Alcudia and Pollensa meet.
Hope this helps but if you want a telephone number for pollensa taxis pm me.

Does anybody know if it is possible to get taxis for 5 passengers as we have our daughter's boyfriend with us this year. If there are would it be best to book in advance.
Thanks

@sparky
Thanks for the updated list of fares.
As we are on the subject of taxis, does anyone know if the taxis in PP generally have a child seat in the boot perhaps (some countries do) ? Or is pre-booking essential in this case?

Many of the taxis are larger people carriers, VW Sharans etc, so you should have no problem with this.

Good to know that even after 2 years they are keeping their prices the same. Wish it was the same everywhere!

Thats what we paid to go on a Sunday to Pollensa 9.50
There were quite a few people carriers around I think We also sometimes caught one back from the Marina up to the Pollensa Park area as it was around midnight and we were too tired to walk !! and we paid about 5 each time we were never overcharged
Its nice to go somewhere that has clean taxis with careful drivers

Hi Mike have been looking at this link Transport in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca - taxis, bus, trains, airport transfers and Conde Taxis say they provide child seats with prior notice, so not sure if that is the case for all of them.

Hi Mike.
Some friends of ours have just returned to the UK with their child who is age 5. We pre-booked a taxi for the airport journey with Alicia from Zarza Taxis and when we told her about the age of the child she automatically said she would bring a booster seat. She turned up on time, and our friends were really happy with the service she provided for them. Have a look at Zarza Taxis who advertise on this site. See http://www.puertopollensa.com/transp...ins.html#taxis
