ResortHoppa
Hello,
Could anyone offer advice about using Resort hoppa shared shuttles.
I usually just jump in a taxi but the current prices, mean trying to find a cheaper alternative.
Basically, are they reliable, ?
Any idea of how many people are on the shared shuttles, and number of drop offs before PP ?
thanks

Hi Kariz
We have used the Hoppa many times and have always found them to be very reliable. You will find there are a number of posts relating to peoples experiences if you place in search at the top of the page.
As for the number of stops and how many people - I suppose that really does depend on their bookings. I'm not sure how that works. I can only say from our own experiences that the Hoppa was a coach and went directly to the Port. On return it did go via Alcudia and collected on route but it was not a problem at all.
As you say, compared to the cost of a taxi there is no contest. Suggest you take a look at other posts too.

many thanks for the info. They seem to be reliable and you end up in PP, which is all we want. !
We were over in March and our usual taxi let us down, cost us 90 Euros, which is an expensive start to the holiday. Would much rather be spending that at Stay restaurent

ResortHoppa
Used Resort Hoppa in May , because of expensive taxi's and found them very reliable.English speaking desk in Palma Airport directed us to a coach,on which we waited for about 15 minutes, which was half full.We stayed at the Bahia on Pine Walk, and we were the first to be droppd off at the road by Ora Playa. On the day before our departure they sent us an email telling us our pick up time and also a text.Arrived at the airport in plenty of time.Great value for £14.50 p.p. return compared to taxi fares.

This does seem really good value.....always thought by the time you multiply it by 4 you were just as cheap paying for a taxi and of course the convenience (rather than stop-offs) but taxi's have got sooo expensive maybe I will consider it for my next visit!!
PS Although having said that.....I would miss seeing Jose!! Gorgeous!!

Resorthoppa
Just about to book ' resorthoppa' shuttle and then had a thought - staying in Faro Street, but keys to apartment to be picked up in Calle Formentor. I don't suppose shuttle bus would stop there first. Do you think we would be better (although it is a lot more expensive!) using a taxi. There are 4 of us.

When you book Resorthoppa you have to book to a hotel or aparthotel near to where you are staying, they do not drop off anywhere else. One solution to your problem would be to make 2 separate bookings, one for one of your party to be dropped off at a hotel near C/Formentor (to pick up the keys) and the rest of your party, book to be dropped off at a hotel near Faro Street.
It would be much more expensive in a taxi as the resorthoppa fare is approx 14€ pp return! Hope this helps

Resorthoppa
Whaley,
What an excellent idea! Thanks ever so much! Now, if someone could just give me the name of a hotel next to the Marfran estate agency, (or do you think I could just give their address), that would be wonderful!
Thanks again.

Hi Jmcg1
If you look to the left of the page under 'Once you're there' and click on 'maps' you will find a map that shows the location of all the hotels in PP. Hopefully you will find one close to where you are staying.

I think the rear of the Hotel Miramar is fairly close to Marfran.

Yes the Hotel Mirimar is the closest to the Marfran office.

They 'may' accept it as it is a hotel but you'll also need to be sure that driver knows where to go. When I used it people who had requested Hostal Bahia were taken to the Bahia de Pollensa hotel!
