Why don't you just take less luggage? It's quite hot out there so you won't need any fleeces!

our goldcar picasso c4 autos for last 2 years only had 5 seats, lots of luggage space, though

had to wait 1 1/2 hours this year at goldcar desk, on a tuesday in May, not very impressive, esp as they then tried to fob us off with a mercedes a class, far too small

everyone in the queue ahead seemed to have a problem with their booking this year

Take less luggage ............ lots of luggage space gets taken up by toiletries and other suff people take with them that could easily be bought in PP or even managed without ........ buying toiletries will cost far less than the uplift to a massive car. In the summer there is really no need for ANY jumpers or heavy/bulky clothes ....... if you do have anything bulky WEAR IT ....... at the moment airlines do not charge extra for heavy people so they can't charge extra for heavily clothed people ................. you only need wear the items as you get onto the plane. Another tip is to use those vacume bags to minimise the bulk of your luggage.

If it were me I would go for the Berlingo option and send 1 or 2 of the party on the bus ...... and if they really don't want to get the bus broach the subject of driving with them again ....... it really is no problem driving in Majorca .............. in fact it is far easier than in most towns and cities in the UK and if they take the route provided on the forum it is a straight easy road and then a simple motorway ...... not really any scope for getting it wrong ...... I think some people just have a fear of it because they think it will be difficult ............... all I say to people is remember to keep yourself ( the driver ) towards the middle of the road just like you do at home and to go round the roundabouts anticlockwise .... its that simple.

Re reports of waiting ages on a coach service , we went with resort hoppa a few weeks ago and it went as soon as we got on , I aske dothers on the bus if they had been waiting ages and the longest was 15mins ............... pick up was on time and we didn;t drive around the houses , just a couple of other nearby stops and we were on our way ..... 50mins from Illa D'Or to Airport.

In fact if you don;t need the car much when you are there you may find the resort Hoppa plus odd taxis whilst in PP an option ....... again that will depend upon whether you are staying in the port or in a villa where a car is essential

I don't see why not ............. good excuse to spend and lets face it half the clothes we women take away with us never get worn ....... in fact taking far too little is a fantastic opportunity to just HAVE to hit Moda Fresca and the perfume shops
