Well, I used that new service yesterday so do I get a prize for the first day? Yes, a quicker journey that was spoiled by 2.5 hour delay with Monarch!

News from the EMT webpage, translation isn't very good, will try and get a better one!!
'Beginning Tuesday, June 18 will be launched reinforcements on line 1 that go from Pl Espanya to the airport and back making all stops set for the line between the two points. These reinforcements will be held until September 15 to coincide with the peak season. The passage stops where you collect the airport bound are the same as for the L-1 from the Plaça de Espanya to the airport, both coming back. The tariff for this service is only the airport, since for urban route can take the L-1 coming from the port or any other avenues to go down. To differentiate the buses that carry these reinforcements from the rest assigned to the L-1, and especially origin airport to avoid confusion for users, thinking that the bus going to the promenade or harbor, in front sign indicating "Aeroport express "when you go to the airport and" Plaça d'Espanya Express "when you return from there, without specifying the line number. These reinforcements will have a frequency of 30 minutes and operate between 7:25 and 21:30 h. Attached is the full schedule, specifying outputs booster buses."

The cost for the No. 1 bus from the airport has now gone up from 3 to 5 euros, or 8 euros returns
