Default Where to park in the Port?

We'll be staying out near the Golf Course and using the car to get into the Port.

Where do you recommend we park? Are there car parks?

TIA

John

Hi John,

there is one at the Marina but this gets very busy, another (newly tarmaced) off C/ Llevant - see http://www.puertopollensa.com/maps/central.html Grid ref 4E, there used to be one at the back of the port near the sports centre but I don't know if it's still there?

People also park along the service roads on the bypass to Formentor, especially on Wednesday market day - when you arrive at the beginning of PP there's a large roundabout with a seaplane on it - 1st exit to right is the new bypass to Alcudia, 2nd (straight ahead) goes into PP & towards the sea, next exit is the bypass to Formentor - take the right hand road (not the central 2way road) & you can park along there (if it's really busy).

HI,
This is not an official car park . I don`t think, but I notice alot of locals and holiday makers parking here. .It is quite a large area of gravel/ rough ground opposite where restaurant A Punt ( think this is correct spelling) used to be , just behind Los Zarzales,by the side of the river (La Gola) just over the bridge. We stay in this area so park here all the time ,day and overnight, but we are never in the Port June ,July ,or August. On our visits we have never had a problem finding a space and no one has ever said we couldn`t park here.
Some one may know of an official car park that I do not.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday ,
regards,TT

You can usually find a spot at the back of the square in Roger De Flor (no lines there) or parking on the old Formentor Road (which runs parallel to the Pine Walk) is usually possible. Park in the blue marked spaces and pay at the meters. They are in Spanish and English and very cheap. A euro for a couple of hours I think. At certain times it's free - sorry can't remember when - think maybe after 6 and during siesta?

We always park near Oro Playa (I think that is the name) otherside of Puerto Azul without any problems (well that is in May and October). Normally plenty of parking and no paying.

regards

Sandra
