Default Do You Spain advice please?

Hi,

I have booked 2 weeks through Doyouspain and they have sent a voucher for Auriga Car rental. I have paid no deposit and am concerned that I turn up at Palma and find no car. Is this the norm? Also are Auriga based on-site? Please come back to me as the other car prices are going up all the time. I would be very grateful. Thanks Thill

Hi Thill our experinece of Auriga wasn't the best... based off site, so although you will get your car you will have to catch a bus and, depending on which month you are travelling , probably be in a long queue!!

Most of the car rental places will shop around for the cheapest deals ..which are usually off site..but if you contact them and say you don't want this they will be able to change your booking.

Don't panic..try Carjet

Debz

I have also booked with Do You Spain for May and have also been referred to Auriga. It says on the voucher that Auriga are based in the Arrivals Hall. Do you think that is not correct - maybe a representative meets customers in Arrivals. I really don't want the hassle of an off-site company.

Sharon not sure if it's change from when we booked with them, which was over a year ago, but a representative met us in the arrivals hall and then directed us to a mini bus which transported us off site.We had to wait in a queue for about 40 minutes when we got to the site (and this was in January!) and then (this was the worst bit!) had to remember how to get back there when we returned the car!

I'm sure if you contact them they will be able to change your booking to an on site rental comany.

If they won't change just cancel & book direct with Record or Europa Goldcar or look at the other options we have on www.puertopollensa.com/car-hire-majorca.html

Thank you all for the advice.

Debz, like you, having suffered the pain of an off-site car hire I don't want to repeat the experience - especially with a 3 year old in tow!

I got a great deal with Recar, who use Croauto and suggest they deliver the car to you at the airport?
