Default New Road

Now that the new road is finished is it still the C713?.Does anyone else find the turning after the airport, where you go right up to the north east and NOT into Palma tricky,my husband dreads it at night any one got any fail safe tips,we have even managed to get over the other side of the road and passed the Coca cola factory on both sides, the thing is,he panics and expects to miss it,i am trying to get this sorted before next saturday when we arrive.Could anyone just give me all the road numbers to take.,please.

I'm not too sure which we way go, but I've never passed a Coca Cola factory!!! We turn off more or less straight away and cut across towards Alcampo!

Have a look at our directions: www.puertopollensa.com/Arriving.html We haven't done the Coco Cola factory route for years. Basically you turn off the first mototway (going towards Palma) very early on at Coll d'en Rebassa (there is a Carrefour just as you exit near the roundabout) & take the road to Inca. We found this road when we used to hire EasyCars which were parked on this back road. This route is now signed to the Airport when you return so it seems to be the recognised route.

ONE NOTE OF CAUTION, THERE CAN BE VERY LONG QUEUES OF TRAFFIC AT THE LITTLE ROUNDABOUT AT CARREFOUR LAST MONTH IT TOOK 45 MINS FOM PP TO THE TRAFIC BUILD UP AND ANOTHER 45 TO GET INTO AIRPORT.
I TEND TO GO THAT WAY BUT COME BACK ON THE MOTORWAY ALL THE WAY .THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN TIME NOW THE ROAD WORKS FROM POINT DE INCA TO ALCAMPO ARE COMPLETE.

Senor cigar
we are not getting into Palma till 21.30 in the evening, hopefully there will not be traffic at that time, and what do you mean by going all the way by motorway on the way back?,is that another way?.

I think that what Senor Cigar is suggesting is to go back the way you have been going which involves the 2 motorways only & not the back road which is a shortcut between them from Carrefour to Alcampo which we describe in our directions.

CORRECT.
GOING TO PP THE SHORT CUT IS FINE (but no quicker) COMING BACK IS WHEN YOU MAY GET TRAFFIC JAMS ON THE BACK ROADS.
ONCE YOU JOIN THE MOTORWAY COMING BACK AT SA PUEBLO YOU CAN STAY ON IT ALL THE WAY INTO THE AIRPORT.
