Default Picking a Car up/dropping back at Airport

Does anyone knwo how late you can pick up a car at the airport? and when you are dropping back with kids and luggage etc is it better to drop all that off first or is there a shuttle bus and or trolleys from the car hire drop off?

Thanks..

Both depend on who you hire you car with. If it's airport based the drop-off is in the airport car park & many are open 24 hours. Personally I avoid any company that uses a shuttle bus. There are several companies listed at www.puertopollensa.com/car-hire-majorca.html

When you drop off your hire car at the airport, it's very straightforward but I have to say, depending on the time, extremely busy!

My holiday normally ends the minute we turn off the ignition in the car and you're thrown back into bedlam. Normally a placid person, I nearly punched someone last year when they sounded their horn as I was about to reverse into a parking space. I think it was one of the drivers for the Hire Car companies who seem to treat the multi-storey as their own personal race track, so beware if you have small children.

There are normally lots of trolleys around and getting to the airport itself is quick and easy.

yelob that sounds like it could be one of the off site car hire places ..if so they are a pain in the neck. Your car will not be in the arrivals hall more like a 5 minute bus ride away which you have to memorise for when you return the car :rolleyes

Try booking with

www.carjet.co.uk/index.php

All the car they use are on the airport just short walk from arrivals NO BUSES.

We always use Auto Europe, which have really good rates. Of course, you never know whether a flight has landed just before you and the whole planeload have booked the same car hire company. You then have a 90 minute wait while the company next door are empty!

We were with Hiper and it is not in the airport. All was good but the transport by shuttle was a pain.

Heres what we do the wife and teenage kids wait for the suitcases while i go and sort out the car. On the way home drop off the car with you all together much easier. As some one before said once i get out of the car its holiday over let get home.

Ah, not so fast Snowy!

We have use Carjet about a dozen times, and although we usually get a car fromm the usual pick up by the airport, we have been bussed out before. Carjet are a broker and you could be ultimately booked with whoever they have a deal with. having said that, I have found them to be EXCELLENT and have never been let down. Highly recommended.

Have to confirm the previous post as we always request a specific type of car & in the past always got Europa Goldcar via carjet - the last time we didn't realise until we looked at the voucher (the nigh before departure!) that it was a different supplier off-site. However if you don't prepay you can always just cancel.
