Default Parking overnight

Over the last dozen or so years we’ve always hired a car and stayed in the old town, and when visiting the Port would always park in the public car-park opposite La Bodeguita/Can Tofol. However, in September we are staying for a few days in PP (Pine Walk end of town), and I am after some advice as to where I could park overnight? Would the above mentioned car park be OK, or in one of the marked areas along Carrer de Vicenc Buades, or are there any restrictions that I need to be made aware of? I’d really appreciate if someone could advise me.

If you are anywhere near Mars Sens then there is usually plenty of parking in the streets behind it.

when we hire a car ( we always stay on Pine Walk) we park on Carrer de Formentor close to junction with Carrer del Bosquet. Its a large 'lay by' with free parking. Last September we noticed a lot more recycling bins placed there but always found space.

Thanks for your replies Luckjon and Catwoman! I'm actually staying in the Capri, which isn't quite 'Pine Walk' territory! So, any any ideas about closer to there? ie the car park I mentioned earlier?

I agree with others. The streets behind the Mar Senses/Flora usually have parking available and there are no parking restrictions. I don’t know what that car park would be like overnight sorry. We have used it the same as you for a short visit but not left overnight.

We use the car park you mention and the one by the bus station - there are no restrictions for overnight stay and we have never had any major problems, just a scratch or two!
It depends on the time of year. In the winter months up to Easter there is usually space but in August they are absolutely jammed and it is hard to find a space. We usually end up parking on the bypass which has a marked lane on the "Local" road (sorry don't know how to describe it!) of the bypass either before or after the bus station if heading towards formentor. As previously mentioned the streets behind Mar Senses/Flora or around Euphoria may have space and have no restrictions.

Capri is about 3 minutes walk from both locations suggested. If you drive along Formentor road going passed the back of Capri - take next turning but one by Mars Sens and then any of the roads on left. For other suggestion continue past Mars Sens for 150 yards and layby is on the left.

Thanks, guys! A car it shall be! There are going to be 4 of us travelling and I couldn't bear the thought of hanging around for buses/taxis etc from the airport, and I always want to get to the north of the island by the quickest means! Thanks once again
