Hi Rob

I was all ready to order it from Amazon but with the postage on top it's maybe better to buy it from our nearest branch of WH Smith. It would have worked out at about £9.00, so I thought I'd order his Scottish book as well, but then I was charged nearly £5 postage and packing!

I'm looking forward to reading it though but don't think I can wait until August to take it with me!

We've got a brilliant Ottakars near us in Milton Keynes so I might pop over there and pick up both copies.

Regards
Jane

If you can clock up £19 on amazon then postage is free. Use it as an excuse to get some holiday reading....

You might know it's the chattering team from Sunday night!

Great new post Rob. Will look forward to laying hands on the book and I might ask at the library if it may be arriving soon. They are very helpful.

Reminds me of C'al Dimante and where someone is going to be brave. Aren't you someone?

regards

Porto

Jane have a look at the summersdale website they had a pretty cool offer on Thistle Soup and not too sure what price they had a Basket full of snowflakes on there for.
Jane I'm not to sure you really want to take Thistle soup on holiday with you. It is a great sourse of information as to why the Kerrs went to Mallorca. reading it will fill in some not so aparent holes in the other 3 books. But it does have a few very sad moments in it.
If you haven't read any of the Peter Kerr books, can I recomend you read Thistle Soup first. that is where the whole adventure starts.
Porto I bought the new book on the way to work today. I was reading the first page and burst out laughing. If the rest of the book is anything like the first few pages I've read , then it's another classic!.

Catch you all in Chat soon I hope.

Hi Rob,

I ordered both books by Peter Kerr from Amazon today at a cost of £6.39 each. Along with other things I managed to get free postage.

Can't wait to read them!

Regards
Jane

Jane, let me know what you think of Thistle Soup, But promise not to give too much of the story away. After you have finnished Thistle Soup re-reading the next 3 is like new stories because of the background gained from Thistle Soup.
I am so enjoying A Basketful of Snowflakes. This is Peter Kerr at his best!. Jock Burns just jumps out the pages and has you in fits of laughter. I bet you cant wait!.
Take care.

Well I'm half way through the book and I don't want it to end . It's as good as the rest if not better.
Am I the only one reading this book at the moment?. I know Jane has bought it but is going to read Thistle Soup first.
I'd love to hear what others think of Peter Kerr's latest offering.
Take care

Hi!

Got a phone call from the library last night to say this had arrived.

Shot down and got it as first reader.

Yes Rob see what you mean about the laughs!

Less than 80 pages to go and I am not wanting the book to end, so I am taking my time savouring every word.
My advise?, If you've read Peter's books so far you really must read this one!, If you haven't read any Peter kerr books start with Thistle soup and work your way through the rest.
Take care.

I'm stuck on another book at the moment and don't seem to have much time just lately to read!!

I must make amends!!

Hi Rob!

I have a feeling I'll still be replying to messages when I'm in PP!

The beer in El Pozo is so good!

But hope to have read both Thistle Soup and A Basketful of Snowflakes by the time I get there, because I'll be too busy lazing around the pool and drinking cava to do anything else!

Chat soon,
Jane
