Volampo Pollença - Environmental volunteer program

The council are relaunching the Environmental volunteer program to encourage everyone to take better care of the beaches and sea around the area, a great idea I hope you all agree.
They have a facebook page and have been organising events to clean up some of the local beaches, there is one this weekend, I expect there are signs up advertising it in the port, its something people may think about supporting for a couple of hours out of our holidays to help preserve the beautiful environment and beaches we all love so much.

The City Council has decided to reactivate the Environmental volunteer program of Pollença (VOLAMPO) in order to take advantage of the concerns of the most participative and solidarity of our municipality to clean our natural heritage.

The Council will provide all the materials necessary to make a correct collection, separation and transport of waste, as they'd be offered refreshment for participants.
