Never seen this guy - but then we are usually at the Pine Walk end. We had a break in Cala D'or one September and the fruit seller there yelled "Ali Coconut" - maybe a relation? :lol

We were on the beach a couple of weeks ago and the girl was there doing brisk trade, no sign of the guy. She is very handy with that knife.

The girl often used to be with the melones man, working as a team.

Maybe they had a row over the size of her melons and she took it the wrong way and did him in!! :\

Default Pinaeapple Man !

I got back 10 days ago after 10 days in PP and much to my excitement the Pinaeapple man (with coconuts and melons!) was there on my first visit to the beach.

He was on the Llenaire beach at around 11.30am and his pineapple was lovely in the midday sun (4 euros for a half).

How has he never had an accident with that knife???

He retired a couple of years ago - we miss him too. Think he owns the kiosk near the bus station but again heard his daughter? runs it now for him.

Melon man in evidence most days at the Llenaire end of the beach when we were there at the end of July.

The "Pineapple Man" was certainly there when we visited in late June. He usually turns up at the Llenaire end of the beach at about 11-45am every day. I got chatting to him in Spanish and apparently he has been working the beach for 12 years now. He's a nice guy, his prices are not outrageous, and remarkable he still has all his fingers!
