Let's hope it'll be a better summer for all in 2021.

Given that the first reports of brolly poles were on this forum around about 16th July 2020, and that they were removed around the end September 2020, and also that most of them were unused this year, I assume that the contractor must have made a massive loss this season. I know there are those who like to use them, so I hope they will be back next year.

I actually like the look of the beach without them - reminds me of what it looked like 30 years ago. But at the same time, it is very depressing to look at with virtually nobody sunbathing or swimming, particularly as it is such a fabulous beach. Hopefully, God willing, we will get back to normal next year.

Take care all you lucky enough to live there, look forward to seeing some of you next August - only 44 weeks to go now!!

Default Poles Apart

Just looked at Webcam 2 minutes ago.

Does anyone know what the hundreds of poles that have just sprung up on the beach are to be used for?

I think they're for the windbreakers that get installed over the winter, so the sand doesn't get all blown away.
