Sparky, is it possible, at this early stage, to guage the density of the brollies on the beach? Last year, in my opinion, it was ridiculous - far too many - and much to close together!

No not really, sorry. But i think it's possible that they put so many there last year in the hope that they might make up their losses because of the very late start, just my opinion.

Wheres the view/beach gone
Just back from a long week in P.P and we sat on pine walk beach Near Pescanos and watched as they first cleaned and tipped loads of sand onto beach. They then inserted the umbella poles and as of yesterday had all the tops on.
Last years prices of 22 euros still on the poles. Disgusting price. no wonder last year most were half empty. They may be putting new stickers on at a lower price Cheaper to buy your own chairs... They are Too close to each other and have taken over the best bits of the beach. Again disgusting... Yes they have gone all along to Little Italy and onto the far end beach. The view has now been spoiled and the little bays of the pine walk are spoilt.
Thats my moan of the day, The beaches are very clean, new sand, if you can find a spot to sit without paying an arm and leg. We will see.

Sounds like same as last year - sad really - however, I believe that if you buy your own chairs and brolly and stick them anywhere on the beach - under Spanish law nobody can ask you to move.Does anyone know if that is correct?

It's a shame if they have not left any free space and i agree it's very expensive but i suppose some will happily pay .

Totally agree with Grandads post. I'm so disappointed to hear they've put beds and brollies as far down as Little Italy. I wish people would boycott them, but I know that won't happen of course.

They have to have a certain quota in different areas according to the new contract that they signed last year. Instead of complaining it would be nice if people actually applauded them for the work they have done in putting right the damage that the beach endured. Rant over !!

We noticed the umbrellas were up the other day - they are so much bigger than the old ones and far to close together so unless you were on the end of the row you would have virtually no sun

There have always been beds and brollies along the little beach where Little Italy is but is the whole of that little beach covered now and no room for people who bring their own chairs etc. Sad if that's the case

Dont worry Bekki, if its the same as last year then yes there will still be some empty sections on the little beaches down that end, but just not as much space as there used to be, which in my opinion spoils the 'natural' look of those areas a bit.......We still love it though

Agree CharlieV, its the word Natural which used to apply to the Pine Walk, It had its little alcoves and inlets which made the natural beauty of the place. Now though ?
